Nomination for Secretary

Region 1 is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to serve as Secretary on the Regional Committee. While this position has previously been managed by a State Chair, we are expanding its scope to strengthen communication, organization, and visibility across the region. In addition to traditional administrative support, this role will have a strong focus on media — helping manage the regional website, social media presence, and video content from camps and events. The Secretary plays a key role in keeping Region 1 connected and informed through engaging digital platforms while supporting the smooth operation of regional activities.

Term

The Secretary position is a two-year term. We are seeking someone to fill this important role for the remainder of the current term, which runs through the end of the 2026 season.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management: Oversee and update the region's social media channels to engage member and promote events.
Website Management: Update and maintain the regional website with current information, resources and event details to ensure accessibility and engagement.
Video Editing: Edit and organize videos from clinics for distribution and training purposes.
Newsletters: Prepare, edit, and distribute newsletters to keep members informed about regional news, events, and important announcements.
Meeting Minutes: Record, Prepare, and distribute accurate minutes from committee meetings, documenting discussions, decisions, and action items.

Key Skills & Qualities

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable managing website updates, organizing digital content, and using social media platforms effectively.
Basic Video Editing: Capable of editing and preparing videos from clinics or events for distribution and training purposes.
Strong Organizational Skills: Able to track and manage multiple media projects, ensuring timely updates and consistent presentation.
Attention to Detail: Maintains accuracy and visual consistency across web pages, videos, and social media posts.
Creativity: Brings fresh, engaging ideas to highlight events, athletes, and regional initiatives through digital platforms.
Reliability and Professionalism: Follows through on commitments, meets deadlines, and represents Region 1 in a positive, professional manner.
Adaptability: Adjusts easily to new tools, projects, and evolving regional needs in a fast-paced environment.

Please ensure nominees are willing to serve and meet the qualifications outlined. Once nominated your application will go to the Region 1 Committee to vote on who can fill the position.
