Nomination for Treasurer

We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the Treasurer position on the Region 1 Committee of USA Gymnastics. This crucial role supports our region by managing financial and administrative tasks in coordination with USA Gymnastics' digital systems.

Overview

The Treasurer is a volunteer role that supports the Regional Chair by managing administrative and financial tasks to ensure smooth and efficient committee operations. This pivotal position involves maintaining accurate financial records, facilitating effective communication, and assisting in the coordination of events to support the committee's objectives.

Term

The Treasurer position is typically a two-year term. With Anton stepping down, we are seeking someone to complete the remainder of his term, which runs through the end of the 2026 season.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

Collect payments through Square and ensure accurate financial recording.
Deposit checks into the appropriate accounts, maintaining precise transaction logs.
Process check requests promptly and accurately.
Collect and organize receipts, ensuring all expenses are documented.

Administrative Duties

Manage and maintain Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting.
Handle administrative tasks in coordination with USA Gymnastics' digital systems.

Event Coordination

Oversee pre-event planning, including logistics, scheduling, and communication.
Manage post-event activities, such as follow-up communications and reporting.
Collaborate with team members to ensure successful event execution.

Please ensure nominees are willing to serve and meet the qualifications outlined. Once nominated your application will go to the Region 1 Committee to vote on who can fill the position.
